heyho!
i just came back from a weekender in the city! the mother in law came by for the weekend, and bram and i continued our weekly travel program (ever since the start of the month, we’ve been getting a number of guests from indonesia coming by to visit, so our routine tour consists of: putrajaya – sungewang/mesjid jamek/petronas klcc/pavilion (if in KL city area) – ikea/the curve/ss2 murni (if in damansara area). but atleast this week we actually got a taste of the tourist life, as we stayed at CaPitol hotel with Bram’s mother. and instead of driving the guests to putrajaya, we actually rode on the bas pesiaran (however we didn’t take those tourist-y pictures in front of the mosque and jabatan kehakiman) and we managed to take a midnight walk around bukit bintang and managed to get to bed minutes after (something i’ve never done before).
besides that, i’ve also restocked my closet with more new additions. don’t kill me just yet- most of them were souvenirs from bram’s mother
batik dresses, batik sling bag, batik slippers and dark gray cheap monday jeans!
btw, as you can see the blog is undergoing some changes. i was bored with the layout and so i’m trying something new. don’t be alarmed if you see all these other changes within the future, i’m just moody and overprotective with my blog that i need to constantly revamp it. yes, i am like marguerite duras, only i didn’t have a scandal with some older chinese man when i was only fifteen.
happy birthday to the leo babies: audy, sheila, kevin and my mother!!!

Case Study A:
Enter X. X is a quite ordinary girl but admits to be a tad critical at times. X enjoys having a good time just like everybody else, yet at times X wants to get her priorities straight while others seem to get lost in their enjoyment of the good young life. X does have quite a number of friends, but X believes that those who X does not feel personally close to are the ones who are surrounding X on a daily basis. And those who X does feel personally close to and consider good friends are the ones X meet only on several occasions. X feels a mixture of feelings, from being quite agitated to feeling rather sad, and wonders why this is how it is.
Exercise:
1. What role should X play within a situation like this?
2. Is X suppose to try and befriend those people mentioned?
3. If X had already tried (numerous times) to befriend those people mentioned, and still failed to feel connected with them, what is X suppose to do?
4. Is it common to feel how X is feeling, or is it just X’s bad luck to be stuck with people like that?
1 Question = 25 points. 25points x 4questions = 100 points for this case study question.

like seriously. moving houses also downgraded me to a smaller closet which is half the size of my previous one. plus the fact that i constantly add new additions to the closet doesn’t exactly help. i end up stashing my old clothes and making way for new ones.
newest additions to the closet:
Topshop Blue Tribal Top
Liz Claiborne Striped Shirt
Vincci Dark Denim Wedges
2 Vintage Dresses
FOS Floral Dress
Tommy Hilfiger Vintage Striped Blazer
Topshop Heart-Shaped Brown Sunglasses
GG/5 Sheer White Blouse
Batik Tunic from Bram’s Aunt
and.. these are only the ones i remember.
btw, the hottest news within the fashion blogosphere is probably the comeback of Agathe of Stylebytes.
good for her! everybody was practically depressed when she shut down her old blog.
nothing new with yours truly, except for the fact that (either) facebook (or my internet) is being uncooperative and it’s taking me ages to upload pics from iyscup.
and i’m listening to King Khan and the Shrines – Welfare Bread and I don’t even remember when I downloaded this song.
aaahh i want to sell my old clothes so badly but there was poor response from my previous garage sale x(
and there is just so much i want to buy.
i’m so consumptive. argh.

yesterday was tiring.
with only about 3-4 hours of sleep, i woke up at 7:30am.
i didn’t want to get out of my bed, but bram forced me to wake up and shower cos he wanted to catch the opening ceremony of IYS Cup 2008.
so we did.
and we watched the first football (soccer) game and basketball game.
then we had to leave to pick my aunt and uncle up from the airport.
(unfortunately we missed ROJALI’s first game versus UKM)
my aunt and uncle arrived ETA 10:30 malaysian time.
they came out around 11ish.
and we took them to Putrajaya for some sightseeing before checking into their hotel in Eastin Damansara
then i got my care package from my mother which consisted of:
10 packs of SUPERBUBUR.
2 cans of PRONAS corned beef
1 pack of Abon Sapi
1 copy of the latest GoGirl magazine
1 dress bought from Bali
1 pair of sandals bought from Bali
1 Longchamp bag from Mama Tetty from Paris
1 Flower barrette from my grandmother
and my monthly allowance HAHAHAHA ![]()
i let my aunt and uncle rest in their hotel room and went back to Sunway
watched some other games,
Sunesia was playing. then WE.
i met a number of people i haven’t met in quite some time, which was comforting
went back home to shower cos i know i probably looked like shit
i had some problems putting on my contact lenses
my red eye was irritated
but nevertheless i still put it on cos i didn’t wanna wear my glasses
then we went back to watch Rojali’s second match versus UIA
after that went back to damansara and picked my aunt-uncle up at the curve
my aunt was shopping for vincci shoes.
i was window shopping but didn’t find anything i was truly interested in.
well there was this one brown leather bag that was quite okay.
it was rm99 and i think 20% off?
but i thought it would be better for me to control myself and shop for something else
my uncle then showed up with a number of shopping bags.
he bought some exotic fruits and malaysian snacks
my aunt ended up buying 4 pairs of shoes
and we then headed for murni
since my aunt’s craving for roti canai has not been fulfilled yet
i ordered roti hawaii
bram ordered roti daging
my uncle orded nasi goreng napoleon
which looked so good when it arrived and i slightly regretted ordering the roti hawaii
and some fruit specials which included kiwi special, mango special and lychee special
my aunt then ordered another roti canai since the size of it was so tiny
and after we finished eating we went to send them back to the hotel
we went upstairs to talk for a bit
and went home
i literally crashed on my bed after that
and slept.

after two months in sunway court, i finally got internet connection! grrr… blame it on my agent okay! we’ve been pestering him for internet since day 1. although the internet is quite slow (cos my agent took the cheapest package deal he could get.. arrrrgh..but we’re upgrading to 2gbs! haha) that means no more ‘numpang’ internet at tata and iib’s house, hahahaha. and i don’t have to worry that my laptop will get sticky from all the sauce that hasn’t been cleaned up on their dining table.
i’m also currently recovering from a bad flu. I just hate being sick with the flu, where your nose gets all runny and you throat feels like its on fire. and i always end up being so weak and manja when i’m sick. but this time, i’ve actually cooked for myself and reminded myself to eat medicine on time. last time i was sick i was quarantined in PJS and Bram took care of me, hahahaha.
3 bags full starts filming this weekend, we’ve got a whole cast of great talent and right now i’m just worrying about my job as the creative director. Holding that title means that I’m in charge of all things creative (or atleast thats what Jeremy explained as my job description) which means scene layout, wardrobe, makeup, props… fun things actually, but i’m so booked for this weekend and next weekend, we might have to reschedule the shooting of specific scenes as it will be filmed from my bedroom.
this weekend is the start of the all famous IYS Cup, or this year they call it ‘REDDISH’ and PPI Olympic. Oohh mann, I miss last year’s IYS Cup that I organized. It was tiresome and gruesome but it was the start of my relationship with you know who. HAHAHA. funny times. I like being nostalgic and sentimental.
(Photo courtesy of Style Bubble- sorry but i really like the photo of Lykke Li, if you want me to take it down it’s okay… I just really like it.. so if it’s okay with you.. I’d like to post it up here…but really if you don’t like it up here, I’ll take it down.. just let me know… if you’re reading this anyway.. haha I sound so lame… okay… i’ll end this thing… alright….)
in other news, i’m also going ballistic over Lykke Li. I’ve had her album for quite some time now but I don’t know why it was only recently that the song ‘Little Bit’ really hit me- and I’m seriously obsessing over it.. everytime I press play, it’s like a fresh new song all over again. I love it to bits. and Lykke Li is another Swedish sensation. PLEASE! How does the Swedes produce all these musical talents? Is it something in their IKEA Meatballs? maybe it’s the gravy eh?
Here’s to a busy month of August- Cheers!
