I feel like blogging. There are actually tons of things I wanted to write about, but all of them sound good in my head but somehow gets lost once I start typing… how retarded of me. I guess I’ll just start mentioning random things. Yeah that would be great. Uh… okay. basically now is probably the dullest weekend I’ve ever experienced in the whole semester. Everyone I know is either doing their assignment or studying for their exams. Today we had a MUSA council meeting in the morning, then I went to finalize the contract for my new apartment. After that I started my HIMYM marathon. I’ve finished season 1 and currently in the middle of season 2. Now I’m currently taking a break from the marathon (I don’t think it’s called a marathon if I stop actually) and surfing a bit. Here’s what I have open:
1. Facebook | Home I’m kinda bored of facebook now since there’s nothing much constructive that I do around that site but semi-stalking into the lives of people that I know. It’s getting tiring to feel bad for yourself once you see everybody is posting up fun pictures of their happening lives. bleh.
2. Triamcinolone acetonide – Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia basically I’m researching on the ointment that the clinic gave me to heal my cold sore. Just to make sure they’re giving the right medicines.
3. Windows Live Hotmail nothing interesting in my mail today. huh.
4. Hot Chocolate and Mint a blog of an Indonesian girl who seems to be making a name for herself in the international fashion-blog community. Her outfits are fresh and creative and apparently she studied in Malaysia as well, how cool is that. You can check out her blog here [link]
5. MOSCHINO I’m opening Moschino’s website hoping to find something interesting… I’ve only browsed through their Cheap and Chic collection and though they are cute but they are also somewhat disappointing.
6, Accessories – Mod retro indie clothing and vintage clothes Found it off Diana’s blog (refer to number 4). Yeah it does sell cute stuff, but I dunno I’m not really an online shopping kind of person.
7. List of Colleges and Universities in San Fransisco – Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Uh yeah… I was talking to a friend about how I wanted to take my master’s in NYU. But he mentioned that living in NY is not an experience I want to get through.. So I was researching for SF.
So basically that’s all I want to say for today. I just came back from Asia Cafe (finally, some people came to their senses eh) yeah, thats about it.

For the past 2 years of my existence in Sunway, I have always associated myself to be “A Palmviller”. By definition, a palmviller means “one that lives in Palmville Resort Condominium”. It may seem as simple and easy as that, but living in Palmville exudes many underlining connotations. Without acknowledging it as something visible, living in Palmville gives a certain image within this clamped society we call Sunway. Its peachy and Mediterranean interior, its beach resort feel offers a feeling of living in a sunshine state where we are constantly on holiday. Life is easy, life is breezy, life is good.
Palmville used to be the best alternative of housing and accommodation, with prices competing with the Sunway-Monash Condo and Lagoon View. It used to be the cheaper choice, the carefree choice. But with its monthly rent prices rising to rm3000 per unit, you cannot help but wonder whether you are paying much just to attain a certain lifestyle image. Sure, image is expensive- but to what extent is it reasonable to allocate that much money on something, when we are students, not multinational executives.
It’s true that people living in Palmville (our maybe just those within our clamped society) carry certain social and cultural baggage. People used to be allowed to come in and out of Palmville as they like, which truthfully, was better for our social lives. We were able to interact with friends outside the lecture hours, with friends outside of our campus. However, the management has currently placed stricter rules for students; which prohibited the entering of random students at all hours.
This has certainly damaged an aspect of my social life. I began to lose contact with certain social groups and find myself reluctantly trapped to others. I saw what there was around me and I did not know whether I wanted to be associated with that. It emanated those images and dramas of something that I feel I should be mature enough to part from.
Yet with my recent plans of moving to a new apartment- one that is far away from all those dramas, I begin to find myself befuddled. This new apartment seems like a fresh new start, simply pure from all that has already tainted Palmville. A side of me welcomes the new, being practically fed up with what the previous had become. However another part of me longs for the previous, slightly afraid of the consequences that might occur if I let go the image of being a Palmville resident.
Hmm…

i hate how the hairdresser said it looked weird.

that’s why i didn’t give you a tip.
(fyi, i’ve been cutting my fringe this way for a year already, and EVERY time i just finished trimming it, i always seem to hate it)
